22 JACK J. JOHNSON has been pro moted to assistant to the director of production in the Ecusta Paper Division. Johnson was a senior in dustrial engineer in the Technical Department of the Fine Paper and Film Group before his move to Ecusta. He previously was manager of industrial engi neering in the Film Division which he joined in August 1967. Earlier employ ment was with Lockheed Aircraft at Marietta, Ga., and the duPont plants at Brevard, Chattanooga and Edge Moor, Dela ware. He served with the U. S. Navy for two years. A native of Atlanta, he graduated from Boys High School in Atlanta and entered Georgia Tech where he earned his B.S. degree in Industrial Management. He also took graduate courses in Industrial Man agement at Georgia Tech, working towards a Master's degree. He was a member of the Toastmasters Club in college, and is a former president of the Chattanooga and Western North Carolina chapters of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers. A candidate for election earlier this month for the Brevard Board of Aldermen, Johnson is president of the United Way of Transylvania County. He is a past president of Junior Achievement of Transylvania, is chairman of the Transylvania County Land Use Board, and is one of Olin’s repre- in the Chamber of Com- sentatives merce. *** JOHN R. COLLINS has been ap pointed director of accounting in the Fine Paper and Film Group. He had been assistant controller in the Film Financial Analysis Sec tion since February 1972 when he returned to Olin after four years of work with GAC Corporation in Miami, Fla., and Pottsville, Pa. He had worked with Olin seven years piror to that as internal aud ¬ itor and chief general accountant of the Brass Group at 'East Alton, III., and manager of ac counting and fi nancial analyst in Olin’s Engineer ing and Construc tion Division at New York City. Previous exper ience was with Vonderahe Van Lines of St. Louis, the County of St. Louis, and Haskins and Sells CPA’s of St. Louis. A native of Houston, Tex., he completed high school at Steelville, Mo., and grad uated from Washington University at St. Louis with a BSBA degree in Accounting. He was president of the Accounting Club while in college. He served six- years with the Airborne Infantry and Finance Section of the U. S. Army. Active with Junior Achievement of Transyl vania, Collins was advisor of NARCO Company when it won the Company of the Year award in May 1 973. PETER ADAMS has been appointed manager of group marketing com munications in the Fine Paper and Film Group. He was advertising and promotion specialist in the Film Di vision from when he joined Olin in May 1972 until his recent appoint ment. Before that he was manager of information services with Fi ber Division of Allied Chemical Corp. He was as sistant publicity manager for the Daily Express in Manchester, Eng land, from 1966 until 1968. He is a native of Sheffield in Yorkshire, England and was educated in this country. After graduating from Billings Senior High School in Bill ings, Mont., he entered Montana College where he earned his B.S. degree in Art and Journalism. He attended college on a journalism scholarship and was cited with the Western Publishing Award. He served as regional representative on the Student Union Board and was vice president of the Journa lism and Art Club. CALVIN J. McCRARY has been pro moted to power and water main tenance foreman in the Utilities De partment of the Ecusta Paper Di vision. McCrary was a mechanical foreman prior to this promotion. He has been with Ecusta since Aug ust 1958, having worked previously with the former Ecusta Paper Corporation in Between those the early 1940's. periods he was employed by the Transylvania Tanning Co. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the Brevard Voluntary Fire Department for approximately 18 years. A native of Penrose, he graduated from Bre vard High School. *** CHARLES H. LINDSLEY has been appointed programmer analyst in the Fine Paper and Film Group’s systems and computer operations. He was employed by Olin in Feb ruary 1971. After a training period as programmer trainee, he was promoted to pro grammer in De cember 1971. A veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, he worked for the U. S. Post Office in Ashe ville for approxi mately eight years and was assis tant general manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Asheville. He is a native of Princeton, N. J., and grad uated from high school in Crozet, Va. He has an Associate in Applied Science degree from Asheville- Buncombe Technical Institute.
